Are You Having A New Year's Eve Party?
Are you known as the host or the hostess with the mostest? If so, you are probably already planning your annual New Year's Eve party. Perhaps you are a traditionalist and you like to serve the same foods each year. Maybe you know that your guests look forward to games like Charades that you have played in the past. On the other hand, maybe this year you want to do something totally different. Whatever the case, from arranging for catering to adding new activities to your New Year's Eve event, here are some ideas that might help you to plan a fun and memorable party.
Arrange For Catering - If you are keeping it super simple, say if you are serving just finger foods and punch, then you can probably easily pull off the party by yourself. However, if you want something more elaborate, consider arranging for caterers to prepare the meal. Even if you want to serve the same thing you have served in the past, the caterers will more than likely be able to duplicate your recipe. If you want to try something new, caterers will have suggestions for meals that have been successful at other parties.
The great thing about arranging for caterers at your New Year's Eve party is that you won't be slaving in the kitchen either before or after the party. The caterers will set everything up, serve the food, even set tables, if you want them, too. And, the frosting-on-the-cake is that you won't have to clean up dirty dishes after the party is over. You'll be able to enjoy yourself right along with your guests without the worry of all that goes with serving dinner.
Arrange New Activities - Of course, if your guests are anticipating the fun Charades game you have played in the past, you'll more than likely want to still keep that tradition. However, consider adding something new to the evening. Did you see the movie, Charade, staring Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant? If so, you'll probably remember the game where guests passed an orange from one person to another. That can be hilarious! Consider playing that game or even watching that great classic movie with your guests.
Consider asking the caterers to also bring snacks that can be served after dinner has been served. For example, if you are going to watch a movie with your guests, the caterers can supply both salty and sweet treats which will be easy for you to serve and clean up yourself.
